Somos Brasil (We are Brazil) is a collaboration with photographer Marcus Lyon, who toured Brazil with a producer and sound recordist, in order to map the ancestral DNA and personal stories of over 100 remarkable Brazilians. The app uses an image recognition system that allows you to listen to each person’s story in their own words. The graphics take their cue from the Brazilian flag, deconstructed to its individual elements. The book was designed to show the portraits first and then for the DNA to be discovered within each person.
