Walworth Garden is a unique award-winning charity garden dedicated to improving lives through horticulture. We were asked to design a brand identity reflecting the urban garden’s location. This had to incorporate signage, packaging, van livery as well as staff uniforms.
The identity is based on nine leaf ‘venations’ which are the intrinsic structures within every plant leaf. We wanted to reflect on the ideas of growth, support, community and building. We therefore drew up graphic tessellating shapes to be used as building blocks. They were then joined to create a skyline (and subtly reflect the shape of a W.)
The leaf venations are now used as part of the Garden's teaching program.
